1. Introduction

Scene Hunt ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address and display name (via Google Sign-In)
• Username (user-chosen, optional)
• Profile avatar and background preferences

Game Data

• Puzzle completion records, scores, and star ratings
• Streak counts and gameplay statistics
• Level progression, XP, and rank
• Coin, hint, freeze, and energy balances
• Leaderboard standings and tournament entries
• Daily challenge progress

User-Generated Content

• AI generation prompts and customization selections
• Generated images (puzzles and AI Companion images)
• Image names, puzzle ratings, and review comments
• All user-generated text is filtered for profanity and compliance

Payment Information

• Subscription status and tier (Free, Premium, VIP)
• In-app purchase transaction records
• We do NOT store payment card details — all payment processing is handled by Google Play and Apple App Store

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data
• Browsing history
• Contact lists or phone data

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the game experience
• To process subscriptions and in-app purchases
• To manage leaderboards, tournaments, and daily challenges
• To generate AI images based on your selections
• To moderate content and enforce community guidelines
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• To communicate service updates

4. Data Storage & Security

• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest
• Database hosted on Neon (PostgreSQL) with SOC 2 compliance
• Application hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GKE)
• Payment processing via Google Play Billing and Apple App Store (StoreKit 2)
• Authentication via Firebase Auth (Google infrastructure)
• Image storage on Google Cloud Storage with access controls

5. Content Moderation

We employ multiple layers of content safety:

• The Seedream v4 safety checker filters all AI-generated images at generation time
• Profanity filter on all user-generated text (usernames, image names, prompts, reviews)
• Prompt sanitization blocks prohibited and explicit content terms
• Community review and flagging system
• Admin review dashboard for flagged content

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Cloud Platform — Infrastructure hosting
• Firebase — Authentication
• Google Play Billing — In-app purchases and subscriptions
• fal.ai — AI image generation (Seedream v4, SDXL Lightning)
• Neon — Database hosting
• Google AdMob — Advertising (free tier only)

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers listed above, solely to operate the game
• Law enforcement, if required by law or to protect our rights
• Other players: your username, avatar, title, level, and leaderboard stats are publicly visible

8. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of your data at any time
• Deletion: Request complete account and data deletion
• Portability: Export your game data in standard format
• Opt-out: Manage notification and data preferences in Settings

9. Children's Privacy

Scene Hunt is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. Generated private gallery images are permanently stored. Saved community images from before April 2026 may have a 30-day expiry unless permanently unlocked. Upon account deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized gameplay statistics may be retained for analytics.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
